Our Coffee Roasts

Here at High Bar Coffee, we roast several different varieties of coffee beans as they are seasonally, responsibly and sustainably available. For those reasons we always have a new roast for you to enjoy, and we may sell out of certain roasts quickly.

Current Roasts:

Ethiopia – Light

This light-roasted Ethipian coffee is a delight! If you are looking for a special drip or pour over coffee, look no further. With fruit flavors that reminds us of stewed peaches and orange marmalade, this coffee is a wonderful pour over and does nicely in a drip brewer.

Burundi – Medium

This coffee from Burundi is a welcomed addition to our lineup with notes of caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon roll. This coffee has a sweetness that carries through the mellow spice notes and balances nicely. Overall, this coffee is versatile and does great as an everyday drip brew or as a special pour over on the weekend.

Sumatra – Dark

This dark roasted Sumatra is exceptional! While this Sumatra does have woodsy, earthy notes that you expect from a washed Sumatran bean, it has a balancing acidity that tastes like subtle cranberry on the finish. Rounded out with nice cocoa notes, this coffee is full bodied and a great drip brew or french press.

Espresso Blend - Dark

Our espresso blend offers a classic espresso expression while delivering on the smooth flavor profile that you expect from High Bar Coffee. Central American and African beans combine to bring a chocolatey body and fruity top notes that hold up nicely in milk drinks. This coffee is also great as a drip brew if you are looking for something bold that also has some fruity top notes.

Papua New Guinea - Light/Medium

This Papua New Guinea has a sweet medium body with nice fruity top notes. The fruit note is mellow and reminds us of golden raisins, while some nuttiness comes through as candied almond. A pour over really unlocks this bean and it is an excellent drip brew.

Guatemala SWP Decaf  - Medium/Light

Swiss Water Processing (SWP) takes out more caffeine than other methods of decaffeinating and does not use intrusive chemicals. This Guatemalan coffee is a great crowd pleasing roast with mellow notes of chocolate and nuts. This is a nice brewed coffee and works well as a single origin decaf espresso.
